As someone absolutely obsessed with the ocean, I decided that this trip would follow the coastline.
Since I’m currently living in Sejong, I’ll start in the Chungcheong region and make my way down along the shore.
There’s no set duration, and no fixed destination.
I have about 700,000 won in cash for this trip, and I’m just going to set off without a plan. When the money runs out, that’s when I’ll head back home.
For my first stop, I chose Boryeong.
And, true to my spontaneous nature, I made that decision this very morning.

Before leaving, I cleaned my home until it was spotless.
To me, endings are just as important as beginnings.
Of course, this isn’t a true ending—just a temporary departure—but I wanted to leave this moment as pristine as possible.
Whether it’s work, relationships, or life itself,
I believe that an ending should remain as pure and unblemished as the very beginning. That way, there’s no lingering regret or unfinished business.

After driving along the Eunpo-ri coastal road, I stopped by a market to pick up some groceries and then headed to Muchangpo Beach. As a traveler on a tight budget, I searched online for a free spot to spend the night in my car.
Since today was the first day, it was all about settling in. Inside the small space of my car, I tried to organize my clothes, bags, and camping gear as neatly as possible. Then, finally, I placed a single chair by the ocean I hadn’t seen in so long, and sat there.
I let my thoughts drift endlessly, staring out at the distant horizon over the sea, completely lost in the tide of my own mind.
And just like that, the day passed peacefully, and night fell without trouble.
